Since its founding on December 9th, 1959, as the first in-flight caterer in Japan, TFK has played a vital role in the development of the aviation industry as a leading company in the Japanese in-flight catering industry. In order to satisfy all our customers, with food safety as our foundation and the delivery of high-quality products and service as our motto, we utilize our abundant experience and knowledge to meet diverse needs, and have been rewarded with both a high degree of trust and high evaluations.
We currently provide in-flight meals to 50 domestic and foreign airlines at Narita Airport and Haneda Airport, including Japan Airlines. We also handle outsourced catering for airline lounges, and based on the culinary know-how we have cultivated through in-flight meal production, we are developing further business ventures such as hotel and restaurant management.

We have maintained our compliance with Codex HACCP, the international hygienic standard, to ensure that we have fully implemented “food safety and hygiene,” which is a major premise of our corporate management. We have not stopped at only strengthening our quality control systems at both the Narita Headquarters Factory and Haneda Factory, but are also expanding these measures to the quality management system at our subsidiaries in order to raise product quality level across the entire domestic group.

In December 2010 we became a group company under SATS Ltd., a listed corporation in Singapore. SATS comprises several group companies engaged in a wide variety of business, beginning with aviation-related businesses at 47 airports in regions centered in and around Asia. It is also listed as one of the top 30 companies on the Singaporean stock exchange in the Straits Times Index. SATS actively participates in business operations as a director of TFK, but their involvement does not stop at a mere exchange of knowledge; SATS promotes exchanges of people, technologies, and administration as an effort towards demonstrating group synergy (Connectivity and Scale).

Furthermore, TFK will expand the arrival and departure framework at both Narita and Haneda Airports that is the base of its catering business and enter a new phase of development. We will build a future as part of the SATS Group that outshines our sixty-year history, and promote new growth as “the first-choice corporation of our customers.”
